Cool season cover crop. Plant in the fall and harvest the following summer. Grains can be harvest and cooked as a cereal, sprouted for salads or milled into flour.

- Facts to Note: Winter wheat must sprout and grow in the fall and then go through vernalization (flowering ability in the spring after exposure to prolonged cold temperatures) in order to produce grain the following summer.
