Super Strong Woven Poly (12′ Wide, Sold by the Ft)
Calculating What Size Poly to Buy: Take 5 basic measurements: length, width, height (to the peak) and the up-over-and-down measurement. Then add 1 foot in each direction on each piece so you will have a little extra to grab onto when installing. For the end pieces (you need two), add (width + 1ft) by (height + 1 ft). For the large main piece, you need (length + 1ft) by (up-over-and-down + 1ft). Standard widths are 10′ and 12′. Custom sizes, 20′, 24′, 30′ or 36′ require an additional allowances of 2″ per seam (See below).
Custom Widths: Using multiples of the standard widths (10 and 12′), wider sizes are created by stitching pieces together. Each seam will use up to two inches and seams should run up-over-and-down, not parallel to the ground. You can order custom widths of 20′, 24′, 30′, or 36′. If other widths are needed, they must be made using combinations of the standard widths (10 and 12′).
Example: 34′ x 25′ piece is made with 2-12′ x 25 and 1-10′ x 25′ stitched together. Finished size will be smaller due to seams, so finished size will be 33′ 6″ x 25′ (there are 3 seams), so remember to give yourself that extra foot when measuring.
