Archeologists have found evidence of avocados dating back almost 10,000 years in the state of Puebla in central Mexico. Evidence suggests they were cultivated as a food source at around 5000 BC by Meso-American people. Later records show how avocados spread around the globe moving north to California and on to Australia and Africa. Avocado Oil has become a popular ingredient in skin care.
